Our Highlands Hospital Preschool is looking for a FULL TIME Preschool Teacher.

General Classroom Functions Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the center at all times Conduct parent teacher conferences at least twice per year Provide data on children to Grant Writer/Communications Specialist as needed Complete general housekeeping tasks as needed Clean classroom areas as needed Take out garbage as needed Maintain a neat and organized classroom Attend required meetings Follow program procedures relating to confidentially Other duties as assigned by the Preschool Program Manager What do you bring? An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education PA Teacher Certification in PK-4 Previous experience with children, and this does not have to be in a childcare center! Are you a parent? Have you volunteered with children before? Are you a former or retired teacher? All of these are examples of some of the many ways our staff have experience with children.
Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test.
This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
The children grow! Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
