*Qualifications:*
* *Must be General Motors (GM) certified*
* Possession of a valid Pennsylvania State Inspection license is a plus.
* Previous experience working with diesel engines in GM vehicles is preferred.
* Experience in diagnosing and repairing transmissions in GM vehicles is preferred.
* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive technician training program is an asset.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnoses and repairs.
*Responsibilities:*
* Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues in General Motors vehicles, ensuring the highest level of technical proficiency.
* Conduct thorough inspections to identify faults and provide accurate diagnoses
* Possess and maintain current General Motors certifications, staying up-to-date with the latest training and advancements in GM vehicle technology.
* Apply specialized knowledge and skills related to GM vehicles to perform efficient and effective repairs.
* Utilize Pennsylvania state inspection license to perform required safety and emissions inspections on vehicles.
* Ensure compliance with state regulations and maintain accurate inspection records.
* Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines in GM vehicles.
* Perform routine maintenance and address complex issues related to diesel-powered vehicles.
* Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in diagnosing and repairing transmissions in GM vehicles.
* Conduct thorough inspections, rebuilds, and replacements as necessary.
* Complete accurate and detailed service records for all repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours.
* Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and software to document findings and solutions.
* Collaborate with service advisors and other team members to communicate repair needs, estimated completion times, and any additional recommendations.
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians when necessary.
* Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repairs and maintenance needs in a clear and understandable manner.
* Address customer concerns and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
