About the Opportunity Working under the supervision of the Director, Strategic HR Partners, this position performs complex administrative, project and technical duties in support of the Strategic HR Partners team.

What you'll do: supports the operations of the Strategic HR Partner team by developing tools, reports, project planning and implementation, technical support, report writing, and scheduling.
This position needs to be able to produce organizational charts, data analytics reports, create registration mechanisms for events, logistics planning, webpage management and general administrative support functionality.
Effectively communicates plans and processes to appropriate audience(s), responds to questions and identifies solutions.
Participates in meetings to document discussions and needs, identify solutions, and work collaboratively with both the SHRPs, COE’s and Shared Services, as appropriate, to deliver results.
As requested, may draft communications for review and coordination with our communications team and once approved will coordinate the distribution of communication through the appropriate channels such as listservs or Microsoft 365 channels.
Plans and executes complete logistical or programmatic details for various SHRP events, workshops, focus groups, team building and engagement activities, etc.
Events may be both virtual and in-person requiring coordination of a variety of mechanisms.
May be required to attend events both in-person and virtually to provide technical support, problem-solving efforts, event coordination, etc.
and may be needed to improvise and respond to unforeseen circumstances.
Works independently to provide complex administrative support, manage calendars, schedule meetings, reserve rooms, produce documents, seek technological solutions and oversee project coordination.
Effectively uses technology to plan, draft, build, test, and implement electronic forms, surveys, etc.
Tracks data generated, develops and delivers reports, identifies trends and makes recommendations to the team.
Recommends, researches, tests, and implements new software or technologies to enhance services, improve processes, identify opportunities for cost savings, etc.
Creates, edits, and updates documents, such as spreadsheets, project plans, reports, processes, and organizational charts.
Creates and maintains various SHRP Microsoft Teams sites as well as the SHRP webpage.
Has purchase authority utilizing Procurement Card or Marketplace, processes charges, pays bills and invoices, and makes recommendations regarding purchases that support the SHRP operations.
May be tasked with booking travel arrangements for members of the SHRP team and processing payments related to such travel.
Coordinates and executes details related to SHRP space planning and equipment.
Will track purchased equipment for the team and coordinate the distribution and retrieval of equipment.
Responsible for completing the retrieval of data from the variety of technology resources at WVU, including but not limited to MAP, spreadsheets, performance review systems, and future technologies, and compiling that data in an useful manner for reporting purposes.
May be asked to demonstrate and train others in this activity.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, office administration, or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience: progressively responsible experience in office administration, data analytics, or human resources operations.
using Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Visio, Teams, and intermediate-level experience using Microsoft Excel is preferred.
Experience with an employee information database is necessary (MAP or Oracle experience is preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, writing, and grammar skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
Includes the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
