Job Duties
Plan and direct communications designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the agency.
Develop and market agency-wide publications, presentations, and training programs as approved.
Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
Create and distribute public service announcements and press releases.
Develop and maintain relationships with members of the local media.
Work with advertisers for timely and usable ad submissions.
Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications.
Design email marketing campaigns and coordinate with Chief Operating Officer.
Recommend, implement, and maintain website design and operation.
Create and maintain social media sites.
Research media coverage and industry trends.
Conduct extensive media outreach.
Present educational domestic violence programs to target groups within service area as needed.
Attend meetings/trainings relative to position as assigned.
Develop and distribute agency newsletter.
Serve as a member of Domestic Violence Awareness Month Committee.
Support and assist other agency sites as needed.
Supervise volunteers to assist with workload as needed.
Maintain facility, staff, volunteer, and client confidentiality at all times.

Skills, Abilities, Education, Qualifications, and Experience

in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or other related field and/or experience communications.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Collaborate with peers and other departments within the agency.
Working knowledge of community resources.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficient computer, Internet, and email skills
