POSITION SUMMARY:
Sales Consultants sell food and food related product and services using product, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products and services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation.
Sales Consultants will be responsible for finding opportunities to close, penetrate existing accounts, and open new accounts for acquisition and development within a specified territory.
As well as maintaining AR for assigned customers and meeting goals and KPIs as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages a geographical sales territory ensuring that independent and regional account business is developed, and budgeted sales and profit objectives are achieved on a monthly basis.
Regularly calls on existing and potential customers.
Develops and executes business plans.
Effectively manages time and resources to attain results.
Manages pricing and monitors credit term compliance.
Capacity to convey ideas effectively and sell a variety of products
Demonstrate products to prospects and customers
Ability to problem solve quickly and creatively
Goal-oriented and driven self-start who can work independently within a team environment
Valid Drivers license with clean driving record
Reside in geographic vicinity of the territory
Education and/or Work Experience:
Two years of experience in foodservice and/or foodservice sales or marketing
Experience in developing leads and researching potential clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make presentations
Interpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people on a daily basis
Familiarity with relevant software, including Microsoft Office
Ability to contact customers, complete sales and manage other tasks independently
Time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and close sales in a timely manner
Willingness to adapt and implement new marketing strategies and sales methods
Quick thinking to provide creative solutions that address customers' needs and concerns
HS Diploma or equivalent,
Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.

Physical Requirements:
Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc.
Lift/carry laptop and sales materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
